Lawry’s The Prime Rib at Ebisu Garden Place hosted a media preview of its “New Year Osechi 2025” menu yesterday—September 18, 2024—with guests welcomed at 11:45 a.m. before the tasting kicked off at noon. Over the next 90 minutes, attendees sampled two tiered osechi options, blending the restaurant’s famed prime rib with festive New Year fare in a distinctive American-Japanese fusion.

The two-tier osechi unit pairs thickly sliced prime rib with classic sides—velvety mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and creamed corn—on the first level, while the second layer offers seafood-based appetizers, terrines, and house-designed sweets. A more elaborate three-tier version elevates the experience further by adding caviar, truffle butter, and deluxe desserts to the top tier, reinforcing Lawry’s commitment to combining luxury and tradition. These items are designed for shared enjoyment, echoing the communal spirit of Osechi in a modern setting.

This event reflects Lawry’s rebranding in September 2024 as a prime-rib–specialized American dining brand, broadening its culinary scope and seasonal offerings. The Osechi menu exemplifies this shift—prominently featuring prime rib while introducing a curated selection of seafood and side dishes. The result is a celebratory meal that fuses American warmth with Japanese tradition.

Guests also learned about pricing and ordering options during the preview. The two-tier version is priced at ¥39,500 (with an early-bird discount to ¥38,000), while the premium three-tier box is ¥48,500 (discounted to ¥45,500 when ordered early). Both are priced inclusive of tax and shipping, designed for delivery nationwide—a feature that suits holiday gifting or sharing with family across regions.

The Osechi was available for preorder via Wondertable Mall starting late August 2024, with early-bird discounts available through October. Each box is meticulously sized (approximately 307 × 234 mm; heights of 115 mm for two-tier, 162 mm for three-tier), designed to serve three to four people. Delivery is scheduled for late December, making this a premium, festive culinary option for the New Year.
