One Piece Day 2024 unfolded at Makuhari Messe in Chiba on August 10 and 11, drawing thousands of fans from around the world to celebrate Eiichiro Oda’s record-breaking manga and anime franchise. The annual gathering, organized in collaboration with Shueisha, Toei Animation, and Bandai Namco, delivered a packed schedule of programming that honored both the legacy and the ongoing impact of One Piece.

The venue’s expansive halls were transformed into an immersive space featuring large-scale displays, interactive exhibits, and exclusive merchandise corners. Life-sized statues of the Straw Hat Pirates welcomed visitors, while behind-the-scenes showcases highlighted production materials from the manga and anime. Fans were given opportunities to experience photo spots replicating iconic scenes, as well as interactive zones designed around the upcoming “One Piece” projects.

The two-day celebration featured stage programs that brought together voice actors, creators, and producers who shared reflections on the journey of One Piece. Screenings of past anime episodes and trailers for upcoming projects added to the sense of anticipation, while live music performances infused the event with an atmosphere of festivity. A central highlight was the announcement of new merchandise collaborations and updates on the franchise’s global expansion, which reinforced the scale of One Piece as a worldwide cultural phenomenon.

In addition to official programming, the convention floor buzzed with fan engagement. Cosplayers filled Makuhari Messe with creative tributes to the series’ characters, from Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro to the newest additions from recent story arcs. Lines formed at exclusive merchandise booths offering limited-edition collectibles, while food stalls featured themed dishes inspired by the series.

One Piece Day 2024 continued the tradition of bringing fans closer to the world Oda has built over more than two decades. By blending nostalgia with new developments, the event underscored the enduring popularity of the franchise and its ability to unite generations of fans. As the series moves toward its final saga, the excitement shared inside Makuhari Messe proved that the global enthusiasm for One Piece remains as powerful as ever.
