The ONE PIECE EMOTION exhibition, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the One Piece anime, officially opened with a public preview ceremony on August 12, 2024, in Shinjuku’s Sumitomo Building Triangle Square in Tokyo. The event showcased immersive exhibits focused on the Wano Country and Egghead arcs, alongside multi-sensory elements including artwork, voice recordings, and animated projections.

The opening ceremony featured special supporters Noda Crystal of the comedy duo Magical Lovely and Kumi Sasaki from Hinatazaka46, both of whom delivered remarks and joined a lively talk session reflecting on their personal connections to One Piece. Comedian Seiya from Shimofuri Myojo, another special supporter who could not attend in person, contributed via a video message that included a playful One Piece quiz, adding an engaging, lighthearted moment to the proceedings.

Those in attendance noted the scale of the exhibition with genuine admiration, emphasizing the depth and detail of the displays rather than offering effusive praise. The organizers appear intent on creating a narrative-driven experience that honors the enduring appeal of One Piece beyond its commercial success.

Currently underway and running until September 1, 2024, the event is expected to tour other Japanese cities in the future, extending the exhibition’s reach to fans across the country.
