The 2025 edition of Show! Music Core in JAPAN kicked off on July 5 at Belluna Dome in Tokorozawa, Saitama. Returning for a second consecutive year, the live concert event brought together a mix of veteran idols and rising K‑POP acts under the banner of “Playful Summer,” presenting fans with a diverse lineup across two days.

Day 1 featured eight groups and solo artists, including IVE, TREASURE, ZEROBASEONE, NEXZ, izna, Hearts2Hearts, KiiiKiii, and TAEMIN. The event was hosted by MINHO from SHINee, KIM GYU VIN of ZEROBASEONE, and A‑NA from Hearts2Hearts, who appeared as MCs and introduced each performance while engaging with the audience in both Japanese and Korean.

The venue, Belluna Dome, offered a partially open structure, which allowed for natural airflow throughout the show. While the stage design utilized large LED panels and dynamic lighting effects to amplify the summer theme, the dome’s open-air setup resulted in a slightly more relaxed and informal atmosphere than traditional indoor arenas.

Early in the program, emerging acts Hearts2Hearts and KiiiKiii delivered upbeat routines focused on choreography and youthful energy. Next, NEXZ performed a Japanese-language version of one of their tracks, signaling their increasing presence in the domestic market.

Emerging artists also took creative risks with cover performances: izna interpreted BLACKPINK’s “Forever Young,” and Hearts2Hearts performed Girls’ Generation’s “Gee,” aligning with the festival’s playful concept and offering nostalgic highlights amid original content.

Seasoned performers continued with TREASURE, who performed four songs including “YELLOW,” energizing the crowd through direct fan interaction. IVE followed, delivering a tight, choreography-heavy set that included “ATTITUDE,” and acknowledged the audience’s enthusiasm during brief on-stage comments.

ZEROBASEONE, a group formed via a televised audition show, took the stage next. Their performance, including four songs, featured tight choreography and clean presentation, solidifying their place in the show’s second half.

Closing the evening was TAEMIN of SHINee, who delivered a refined four-song set including an arrangement of “MOVE” and “Sexy In The Air.” His segment stood out for its polished performance and atmospheric lighting. In his closing remarks, he expressed gratitude to the venue and encouraged attendees to remember the night.

The evening ran smoothly over three hours, with no technical delays and good crowd management. Press access remained limited to partnerships organized by the event.

Day 2 (July 6) featured another diverse lineup including aespa, THE BOYZ, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, INI, NiziU, and more. Across both days, the event attracted tens of thousands of fans who traveled nationally and internationally to experience this unique assembly of K‑POP talent in Japan.

Tickets were pre-sold at ¥15,800 per day or ¥31,600 for a two-day pass. Organized by the Show! Music Core in JAPAN Executive Committee, the event is scheduled for broadcast later this summer. The 2025 edition reinforced Japan’s strategic role in K‑POP touring and highlighted the appeal of large-scale, multilingual music festivals.
