Tokyo’s waterfront district of Odaiba became the center of the global electronic music scene as ULTRA JAPAN 2025 celebrated its 10th anniversary on September 13–14, 2025.
Held at TOKYO ODAIBA ULTRA PARK, the two-day urban dance music festival brought together some of the biggest names in electronic music from around the world, alongside leading Japanese artists and emerging talents. The anniversary edition featured performances across three stages — ULTRA MAIN STAGE, RESISTANCE, and ULTRA PARK STAGE — delivering a weekend filled with powerful performances, cutting-edge production, and Tokyo’s unique festival atmosphere.
A Decade of ULTRA JAPAN Celebrated in Odaiba
Since its debut in Japan, ULTRA JAPAN has grown into one of the country’s largest urban dance music festivals, attracting fans from Japan and overseas with its combination of international headliners, underground electronic sounds, and Tokyo’s distinctive fashion and cultural scene.
For its 10th anniversary edition, thousands of fans gathered at the Odaiba venue from the moment the gates opened. Before the performances began, visitors enjoyed festival installations, photo spots, food and drink areas, and sponsor booths throughout the venue.

Martin Garrix Delivers a Spectacular Anniversary Finale
The highlight of the first day came from global superstar Martin Garrix, who closed the ULTRA MAIN STAGE with an unforgettable performance.
The Dutch DJ and producer, known for worldwide hits and some of the biggest festival anthems of the past decade, delivered a set combining emotional melodies, powerful drops, and impressive visual effects.
As lights, sound, and thousands of fans came together, Garrix created a fitting finale for ULTRA JAPAN’s 10th anniversary celebration. The crowd responded with overwhelming energy, bringing the first day of the festival to a dramatic conclusion.
Slander and Morten Bring Energy to the Main Stage
The ULTRA MAIN STAGE lineup featured a series of internationally recognized artists throughout the day.
American electronic duo Slander delivered a dynamic performance showcasing their signature future bass sound. Moving between powerful festival tracks and emotional melodic moments, the duo created an atmosphere that connected strongly with the audience.
Danish DJ and producer Morten also energized the crowd with his distinctive blend of tech house and electronic sounds. His performance kept the audience engaged from beginning to end, adding another memorable moment to the anniversary edition.
RESISTANCE Stage Highlights Global and Japanese Techno Talent
The RESISTANCE Stage once again showcased the deeper side of electronic music, featuring some of the most respected artists in the techno and underground scenes.
Belgian techno artist Amelie Lens delivered one of the most intense performances of the day, filling the stage with hypnotic rhythms and powerful soundscapes.
A special 10th anniversary collaboration also took place with KEN ISHII B2B DRUNKEN KONG, bringing together Japanese techno legend Ken Ishii and one of Japan’s leading electronic music acts.
The exclusive back-to-back performance highlighted the strength of Japan’s techno scene and became one of the standout moments of the festival.
ULTRA PARK STAGE Showcases Japan’s Dance Music Scene
The ULTRA PARK STAGE featured a wide range of Japanese artists, from rising DJs to established performers.
The BRAIZE B2B DJ YU-KI performance brought high energy to the stage, combining strong DJ skills with crowd interaction. Meanwhile, YAKSA delivered a unique set incorporating house music, bass influences, and elements from other genres.
The stage demonstrated the diversity of Japan’s electronic music culture and highlighted the creativity of the country’s growing DJ community.
Festival Fashion Adds to the ULTRA JAPAN Experience
Beyond the music, ULTRA JAPAN has become known for its distinctive festival fashion.
At the 2025 edition, many attendees arrived in stylish urban outfits, coordinated looks with friends, and creative festival-inspired clothing. From colorful streetwear to carefully planned group styles, the audience contributed to the visual identity of the event.

Day 2 Brings Calvin Harris, Hardwell and Gryffin
Following the success of the opening day, excitement continued for the second day of ULTRA JAPAN 2025.
