The Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2023 took place under clear skies at Pacifico Yokohama on Sunday, December 3, 2023. With the removal of COVID-19 restrictions, the event attracted a record number of international visitors, with an overall total number of 25,000 which was another record. This year’s show was more vibrant and energetic than ever, drawing in enthusiasts from around the world.

The exhibition was divided into several categories, including custom cars, custom motorcycles, motorcycle manufacturers, and vendors.

One of the key attractions was the Ride-In Show, which featured “Best of Show” winners from HCS 2022. This included a guest car and eight guest motorcycles from the United States, alongside contributions from prominent motorcycle manufacturers such as BMW Motorrad, Harley-Davidson, Indian Motorcycle, and Royal Enfield. For the first time in years, international guest vehicles took to the runway, thrilling the audience with their roaring engines and adding to the overall excitement.

The event displayed a wide range of custom vehicles, each meticulously designed to reflect unique styles. Booths from major brands like Harley-Davidson Japan, BMW Motorrad Japan, Indian Japan, and Royal Enfield were a highlight, with renowned custom builders presenting their latest creations. Visitors were treated to the rare opportunity to view newly unveiled custom motorcycle models up close.

In addition to the impressive motorcycle displays, the 3rd Annual Pinup Girl Contest made a return, held in collaboration with Mitzi & Co. and Psycho Apparel. Ten finalists from both Japan and abroad graced the main stage, adding a lively touch of glamour to the day’s proceedings.

Congratulations to the Award winners!

The show concluded with a highly anticipated debut performance by the band Kode Talkers, who left the audience in high spirits.

The event was a resounding success, brimming with enthusiasm and passionate visitors from start to finish. The event not only revived its signature blend of cars and motorcycles, but also welcomed back international participation, signaling a full return to its vibrant pre-pandemic spirit. Anticipation is already building for next year’s edition.
