On September 1, 2025, Swedish-named Japanese fashion label någonstans presented its 2026 Spring/Summer collection at Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO (Rakuten FWT), staging the runway show at Brillia Running Stadium at 17:00 as part of the opening day of the six-day fashion week held from September 1 to September 6, 2025. The event marked the brand’s first official participation in Rakuten Fashion Week’s runway schedule, joining a lineup that included other domestic designers and award-winning emerging labels throughout the season.

Led by designer Mizuki Ueda, någonstans oriented its Spring/Summer 2026 collection around the theme “Mountain Trail,” drawing direct inspiration from the designer’s engagement with nature and the sensory experience of walking through mountainous landscapes. Coverage described the collection’s color palette as reflecting the unexpected hues found in natural terrain — from the pale gray tones of summer rock surfaces to the delicate colors of alpine flora — and articulated the brand’s ongoing focus on balancing expressive form with references to the outdoors.

Items in the collection utilized performance-oriented materials, including bonded textiles that softly accentuated three-dimensional silhouettes and sporty sheer fabrics, which were noted for their ability to convey the free-flowing forms characteristic of the label’s design language. Prints featuring the works of painter Mitsuko Hanyu were reported to bring additional visual context to the collection’s thematic focus on natural scenery.

The runway presentation at Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO 2026 S/S served as a platform for någonstans to present its seasonal work to a broader audience of industry professionals, media, and invited attendees. The brand’s inclusion in the official schedule followed its first year of eligibility on the event’s runway calendar and contributed to the fashion week’s emphasis on showcasing a range of Japanese designers, including both emerging names and established labels across multiple days of programmed shows.
