CHIBA, Japan — KCON JAPAN 2026 transformed Makuhari Messe into the center of the K-pop world from May 8 to May 10, bringing together some of the industry’s biggest artists, rising rookie acts, actors, creators, and brands for three days of performances, fan engagement, convention programming, and cultural experiences.

As one of the largest editions of the event to date, KCON JAPAN 2026 expanded beyond traditional concert programming, offering a multi-stage festival environment where music, fandom, beauty, fashion, technology, food, and digital culture converged under one roof.

Held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, the event welcomed thousands of fans from Japan and overseas while continuing KCON’s role as one of the most influential global platforms connecting K-pop artists with international audiences.

This year’s festival featured performances and appearances from a wide range of artists, including INI, JO1, ZEROBASEONE, &TEAM, TWS, P1Harmony, KISS OF LIFE, EVNNE, Hearts2Hearts, NiziU, ME:I, IS:SUE, KickFlip, izna, Kim Jae Hwan, CORTIS, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, MODYSSEY, DXTEEN, RESCENE, 8TURN, AxMxP, Baby DONT Cry, H//PE Princess, hrtz.wav, FLARE U, Keyveatz, KEYVITUP, Choi Yu Ree, PRODUCE 101 JAPAN SHINSEKAI participants and additional emerging artists across the convention stages.

Special guests also appeared throughout the weekend, including actor Park Seo Ham, actor Lee Chae Min, and performer GAN (Takanori Iwata), expanding the festival’s reach beyond music into television, film, and broader Korean entertainment culture.

The M COUNTDOWN stage once again served as the centerpiece of KCON JAPAN, delivering large-scale production performances featuring some of the most popular artists in K-pop. Throughout the weekend, fans packed the venue to witness exclusive collaborations, special stages, and performances designed specifically for KCON audiences.

Beyond the main concert experience, KCON’s convention floor remained one of the event’s biggest attractions. Festival-goers explored extensive exhibition zones featuring beauty, skincare, fashion, lifestyle, gaming, technology, food, and entertainment brands. Interactive activations allowed fans to participate in product experiences, photo opportunities, giveaways, artist-themed events, and community activities.

Among the most popular attractions were artist engagement areas, fan participation programs, branded exhibition booths, beauty and cosmetics showcases, K-food experiences, merchandise zones, and creator-focused activations that highlighted the broader influence of Korean culture across global markets.

KCON’s signature multi-stage format also returned with a variety of programming throughout the venue. The X STAGE spotlighted rising artists and emerging acts through showcase performances, while the DANCE STAGE delivered choreography-focused programming, dance challenges, workshops, random dance play sessions, and fan participation events.

The popular DREAM STAGE program once again offered selected fans the opportunity to perform alongside artists, with INI, JO1, and ZEROBASEONE participating across the three-day festival.

Throughout the weekend, KCON reinforced its reputation as more than a concert series. The event functioned as a large-scale cultural festival where music, fashion, beauty, technology, social media, and fandom culture intersected. Fans moved seamlessly between concert venues, convention halls, artist showcases, interactive experiences, and community-driven events, creating an immersive environment unique to the KCON brand.

The 2026 edition also highlighted the continued globalization of K-pop, bringing together artists from major Korean entertainment companies alongside Japanese acts, rookie groups, established stars, and cross-industry personalities. The diverse lineup reflected the increasingly international nature of the K-pop ecosystem and its growing influence across entertainment sectors.

As KCON continues to evolve, KCON JAPAN 2026 demonstrated how the festival has become one of the industry’s most important gathering points, serving as both a showcase for established artists and a launch platform for the next generation of performers.

With three days of sold-out performances, extensive convention programming, and fan-driven experiences, KCON JAPAN 2026 once again confirmed its position as one of the world’s premier K-pop and Korean culture festivals.
