On September 3, 2025, Japanese womenswear label FETICO presented its 2026 Spring/Summer collection during Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO (Rakuten FWT) 2026 S/S at Yoyogi National Gymnasium No. 2, with the runway segment beginning at 19:00 as part of the third day of the six-day fashion week running from September 1 to September 6, 2025. The presentation was realized through the “by R” project, an initiative by Rakuten Group, Inc. to support Japanese designers and promote the local fashion industry.

FETICO’s runway marked the brand’s fifth anniversary since its founding under designer Emi Funayama, with the show framed around the thematic concept “The Depth of Her.” This theme reflected an exploration of femininity and inner presence, drawing inspiration from two female visual artists — German sculptor and performance artist Rebecca Horn and Romanian-French photographer Irina Ionesco — whose work emphasizes extension of the body and projection of the inner self. The venue was arranged as a stark white space that echoed museum-like minimalism, creating a setting intended to foreground the collection’s forms and influences.

In staging the runway, FETICO collaborated with holistic beauty brand THREE, which provided fragrance support and cosmetic elements for the show’s makeup presentation, reflecting a cross-disciplinary component to the brand’s anniversary showcase. Alongside the runway presentation, FETICO released exclusive products tied to its participation in the “by R” project through the Rakuten Fashion e-commerce platform, including limited-edition updates of garments such as shirts, bodysuits, and barrettes.

The runway show contributed to Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO’s schedule of domestic and supported brand presentations, continuing the event’s role as a platform for seasonal collections that engage both local and international audiences. The inclusion of emerging and established designers underlines the fashion week’s emphasis on diversity of design perspectives within Japan’s fashion ecosystem.
