NMIXX, the sensational K-pop girl group under JYP Entertainment delivered an electrifying debut fan concert in Japan. Held on January 11th and 12th at Chiba’s LaLa Arena Tokyo-Bay, the event, titled NMIXX Fan Concert “NMIXX Change Up: MIXX Lab in Tokyo”, marking their first solo showcase for their Japanese fans.
The concert embraced the group’s signature “utopia-seeking adventure” theme while incorporating a “chemistry experiment” concept. Fans were greeted by an opening sequence featuring the members in white lab coats on the giant screen. As smoke enveloped the center stage, the group emerged in chic gray mini-skirts and cropped tops, launching into a powerful rendition of Run For Roses. The audience erupted in cheers, setting the tone for the night.

From the energetic Soñar (Breaker) to the rock version of Love Me Like This, NMIXX showcased their unparalleled stage presence and vocal prowess. Highlights included their remix of O.O Part 2, a playful take on Young Dumb Stupid, and heartfelt ballads like Love Is Lonely. Fans were treated to their “MIXX Pop” signature sound—a seamless blend of genres—and charismatic choreography, including fan-favorite point dances.

Interludes included lively conversations and games. The group delighted the audience with fluent Japanese greetings and spontaneous moments, showing their genuine connection with fans. An interactive “Guess the Song” quiz featuring hits from K-pop icons like STAYC, NewJeans and label mates Twice further engaged the crowd.

Dressed in monochrome lab-inspired outfits, the members seamlessly transitioned between upbeat tracks and emotional moments. Moving On saw them tossing signed balls into the crowd, while TANK unleashed their bold energy, earning thunderous chants. The futuristic visuals for their latest release, Dash, added a cinematic flair to the night’s finale.

For their encore, they returned to the stage in branded black hoodies, performing a touching cover of RAINBOW’s Kiss. Fans surprised the group by holding up banners that read “Thank you for coming to Japan” in Korean. In response, the members performed a heartfelt J-pop cover of Aimyon’s “Marigold”, creating a poignant moment of mutual appreciation.

Closing with Home, NMIXX delivered an emotional song finale, singing at different tempos and engaging directly with fans from every corner of the stage. They ended the night with heartfelt goodbyes and promises to return, leaving fans with an unforgettable start to 2025.

NMIXX will continue their fan concert tour in Latin America in February with stops in Mexico City on February 19th and 20th, Santiago on the 22nd and 23rd, and São Paulo on the 28th.
