TOKYO, Japan — World DJ Festival Japan 2026 transformed Tokyo’s Sea Forest Waterway into one of Asia’s biggest electronic dance music destinations on July 4 and 5, welcoming thousands of fans for two days of world-class performances, immersive stage production, and an international lineup of DJs.

Originally launched in South Korea, World DJ Festival has grown into one of Asia’s premier EDM events, combining internationally renowned artists with cutting-edge visual production, pyrotechnics, lasers, and large-scale festival staging. The Tokyo edition continued that tradition, delivering an energetic weekend that attracted dance music fans from across Japan and overseas.

The festival featured multiple performance areas catering to different styles of electronic music. The Main Stage showcased many of the world’s biggest EDM headliners, while additional stages focused on hardstyle, techno, bass music, and rising artists, allowing attendees to experience a broad spectrum of electronic music throughout the weekend. Massive LED displays, synchronized lighting, CO₂ effects, fireworks, and spectacular stage production elevated every performance into a full audiovisual experience.

Saturday’s lineup included performances from Porter Robinson, KSHMR, Cheat Codes, Lucas & Steve, Mike Perry, Quintino, and several Japanese DJs, offering everything from melodic electronic music to progressive house and festival anthems. Although Like Mike had originally been announced, organizers confirmed that he was unable to perform before the event.

Sunday maintained the festival’s momentum with one of the strongest lineups of the weekend. Martin Garrix headlined the closing day alongside Alok, Galantis, Black Tiger Sex Machine, Bassjackers, Mesto, RetroVision, Sick Individuals, Jeonghyeon, Nicole Chen, and other international and Japanese performers. Fans packed the venue from early afternoon until late evening as each stage delivered a unique musical atmosphere.

Beyond the music, World DJ Festival Japan emphasized the full festival experience. Food vendors, sponsor activations, merchandise booths, and interactive installations were spread throughout the Sea Forest Waterway venue, creating an atmosphere that encouraged visitors to spend the entire day exploring the grounds between performances. The waterfront location also provided a dramatic backdrop for the festival’s nighttime lighting and special effects.

The 2026 edition further established World DJ Festival Japan as one of the country’s leading international EDM festivals. By combining globally recognized DJs, diverse stage programming, and world-class production, the event demonstrated why the World DJ Festival brand continues to expand across Asia and attract electronic music fans from around the world.
