CHIBA, Japan — X Games Chiba 2026 has officially unveiled its full roster of athletes and competition schedule ahead of its return to Makuhari Messe on July 4–5, 2026, bringing together 77 athletes from 17 countries for one of the world’s premier action sports festivals.

The upcoming edition marks a major evolution for the X Games brand, introducing the new X Games League (XGL) format alongside traditional individual competitions. The league system will see four international club teams — XC Tokyo, XC Los Angeles, XC New York, and XC Sao Paulo — competing throughout a three-event global series for a total prize purse of USD $500,000 and the inaugural XGL championship title.

Following the opening round in Sacramento and preceding the final stop in New Orleans, Chiba will serve as the crucial second stage of the 2026 season.

Held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, the event will feature competitions across Skateboard, BMX, and Moto X disciplines, combined with live music performances, DJ sets, food experiences, and immersive fan attractions designed to transform the venue into a full-scale festival environment.

This year’s event will include the largest competition program in X Games Chiba history, featuring 15 medal events across three sports.

Saturday’s lineup includes Men’s Skateboard Street Best Trick, Women’s Skateboard Street, Men’s and Women’s Skateboard Vert, Men’s BMX Street, Men’s BMX Park, Women’s BMX Park, and Moto X Best Trick. Sunday’s program will showcase Men’s Skateboard Street, Women’s Street Best Trick, Men’s and Women’s Skateboard Park, Vert Best Trick events, BMX Park Best Trick, and a Moto X demonstration showcase.

Among the biggest Japanese names confirmed for the event are Sora Shirai, Ginwoo Onodera, Coco Yoshizawa, Liz Akama, Kokona Hiraki, Mizuho Hasegawa, Rimu Nakamura, and FMX legend Taka Higashino.

International stars joining the competition include Olympic medalists and X Games champions such as Keegan Palmer, Tom Schaar, Sky Brown, Arisa Trew, Garrett Reynolds, Logan Martin, Hannah Roberts, and Moto X icon Jackson Strong.

The event also highlights the continued global rise of Asian action sports athletes, including Korean skateboarder Juni Kang, who made history at X Games Osaka 2025 by becoming the first Korean skateboarder to win an X Games medal.

In addition to sports competition, X Games Chiba 2026 will continue expanding its entertainment focus. Japanese seven-member boy group IMP. has been confirmed to perform live on July 4, while their track “BAM-BOO” has once again been selected as the official event theme song for the third consecutive year.

Speaking ahead of the event, IMP. leader Takuya Kageyama expressed excitement about returning to the X Games stage:

“We are truly grateful and excited to perform at X Games for the third consecutive year. Together with the passion of the athletes competing, IMP. will give everything we have to energize this incredible stage.”

Organizers emphasized that X Games Chiba is no longer positioned solely as a sports competition, but rather as a hybrid festival blending action sports, music, street culture, and live entertainment into one large-scale experience.

Tickets for X Games Chiba 2026 officially went on sale on May 20 through multiple ticketing platforms in Japan. Prices begin at ¥6,500, with premium front-row “XG” seating packages, stage access options, and family ticket bundles also available.

Friday, July 3, will be reserved for official practice sessions and accredited media access, while public attendance will take place across July 4 and July 5.
